Gearing up for its 2012 season, which runs from May 5 through Oct. 28, Joanna Moyar, education coordinator for Hanna's Town, is seeking volunteers to lead guided tours, help out in the gift shop and maintain the site's garden.

During the season, Hanna's Town is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Volunteers are encouraged to donate six hours of their time each month, more if possible, preferably in shifts from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or from 1 to 4 p.m.

Orientation and training sessions for new Hanna's Town volunteers are scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon March 31 and April 14 at the society headquarters at 362 Sand Hill Road in Greensburg. For more information, call 724-532-1935, ext. 12, or visit www.westmorelandhistory.org.

Congratulations to Jimmy Gulibon who won his fourth PIAA Wrestling Championship.  Jimmy is a senior at Derry Area High School and will attend Penn State in the Fall.  He has become one of only ten wrestlers ever to win four PIAA titles.
